Biography

Edgar Pierpont Putnam (1844-1921) carried a veteran's steady gaze and a peacemaker's heart after years of service to his country. He prided himself on fairness and on treating each person with dignity, no matter their circumstance.

Later in life he devoted himself to mentoring young people, encouraging them to embrace learning and to stand firm in their convictions.
