Biography

Edmund G. Ross devoted decades of his life to public service, most notably as a U.S. Senator from Kansas whose courageous vote during the impeachment trial of President Andrew Johnson upheld his earnest fidelity to the Constitution. His decisions were guided by principle rather than partisanship, earning both criticism and admiration.

After his tenure in Congress, he continued to serve in various public roles before passing, and he now rests in Fairview Memorial Park, where visitors still reflect on his steadfast commitment to conscience over convenience.
