Edward Hammond

Biography

Edward Hammond, born in 1812, represented Maryland in the United States House of Representatives and strove to represent the interests of his district with dignity.

After concluding his public service he remained close to family and friends, and in 1882 he was buried in Saint Johns Cemetery of Howard County, where visitors still recall his measured voice.
