Biography
Edward L. Baker Jr. enlisted with the 9th Cavalry and distinguished himself in Cuba, earning the Medal of Honor for bravery in defending a supply train under heavy fire during the Spanish–American War.
After leaving the Army he remained a leader among veterans, championing fair treatment for African American soldiers and sharing his story to inspire younger generations of servicemen.
