Edward W. Hooper

Biography

Edward W. Hooper, born in 1839, grew up in a nation on the brink of great trials and responded with quiet determination to the responsibilities of his generation. Through decades of rapid industrial and social change, he remained tuned to the needs of his community, offering assistance and encouragement to friends and neighbors alike.

He is laid to rest at Mount Auburn Cemetery, the serene slopes of which bear witness to his thoughtful life and the sense of steadiness he imparted to those around him.
