Edwin Coppoc

Biography

Edwin Coppoc (1835–1859) was a committed abolitionist who dedicated his life to the cause of ending slavery in America. His involvement in the abolitionist movement during the 1850s placed him at the forefront of one of the era's most significant moral and political struggles. Though his life was cut short at just twenty-four years of age, his convictions and actions left a lasting impact on the abolitionist cause.
