Biography
Elbertus van Steenbergen was a courageous resistance fighter who stood against Nazi tyranny during the occupation of the Netherlands. Born in 1919, he joined the underground movement and dedicated himself to the cause of liberation, working to undermine enemy operations and support the Dutch people.
Van Steenbergen died in 1945 and was buried at Ede Memorial Cemetery. His sacrifice represents the commitment of the Dutch resistance and serves as a lasting tribute to those who gave their lives for freedom and national independence.
