Elisha Hale (1753–1830) was a figure of his community, living through the formative years of the United States. He maintained his connections and contributions throughout his long life.

Hale's seventy-seven years spanned a transformative period in American history. He was laid to rest at Green Cemetery, where his memory is preserved alongside those he knew throughout his lifetime.
