Biography
Elizabeth Stumm devoted herself to teaching, church work, and the countless small acts of service that keep neighborhoods strong, helping students read, count, and imagine a future shaped by knowledge. Her calm voice and steady encouragement brought comfort to parents and inspired youngsters to believe they could rise above the limitations placed before them.
Though the public record may be sparse, the community recalls her as a steadfast presence in Sunday schools, relief societies, and civic meetings, always ready to listen and to lend a hand. Eden Cemetery now includes her among those who kept Easton grounded in kindness and mutual care.
