Biography
Émile Anthoine was a dedicated athletics competitor whose sporting achievements contributed to twentieth-century athletic tradition. His participation in competitive athletics reflected the growing importance of organized sports in early twentieth-century society.
Anthoine's career as an athletics competitor extended through much of the twentieth century, during a period of significant development in organized sport. He was interred in Batignolles Cemetery, where he rests among other notable French cultural and sporting figures.
