Emley Holcombe (1777–1846) answered the call of his era with diligence, supporting his neighbors through honest work and the steady friendship that kept the First Presbyterian community connected.

He cherished the chance to lend a hand or listening ear, and his memory lives on beside the congregation he served, resting in peace at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
