Biography
Erzsébet Házy sang with crystalline tone and dramatic insight, becoming one of the Hungarian State Opera's treasured lyric sopranos. Her interpretations of Mozart, Puccini, and other masters captured critics and audiences alike, as she balanced vocal precision with heartfelt storytelling.
Following her early passing she was laid to rest at Farkasréti Cemetery, where opera lovers still visit to honor the warmth of her outward smile and the clarity of the music she shared.
