Biography

Eugene Wambaugh taught generations of lawyers at Harvard Law School, where his textbooks on the conflict of laws and the conduct of courts became standard references for scholars and practitioners alike. He combined a meticulous grasp of doctrine with a warm concern for the fairness of the legal process.

Beyond the lecture hall he advised on legal reform, offering careful analysis to civic leaders, and he remained a trusted figure in Boston's legal community until his death; his legacy is honored at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
