Biography
Ferdinand Trauttmansdorff was an influential politician and member of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy who served during a critical period in Central European history. As a politician of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, he was engaged in the complex political negotiations and governance of the declining empire.
Trauttmansdorff's political career ended with his death in 1915, during the early years of World War I. He was interred in the Trauttmansdorff Vault, where he rests as a member of one of the region's distinguished noble families and a figure of his era's political landscape.
