Biography

Frances Fuller Victor produced sweeping histories of the Pacific Northwest, bringing to light the stories of early settlers, Native peoples, and the natural beauty of the region with a keenly observant eye.

As one of the few women writing seriously about the West, she mentored younger authors, preserved local lore, and persevered through the challenges of a long writing life.
