Frances Wilkes Colden was born in 1796 into the society that gathered around Trinity Church, where she pursued a life marked by affection for her family and the city she called home.

She passed in 1877, leaving memories of thoughtful hospitality and quiet support for the care of others, a presence that continues to be felt beside Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum.
