Francis Huntington Snow

Biography

Francis Huntington Snow (1840-1908) pursued the study of natural history and devoted himself to teaching, guiding students to see the life of plains and forests through careful observation.

His patience and encouragement made lasting impressions on pupils and fellow scientists, and his grave at Oak Hill Cemetery preserves the memory of a gracious naturalist and educator.
