Biography
Franciszek Arciszewski was a military officer whose service stretched from the upheaval of the early twentieth century to the decades of exile following the Second World War. He upheld the ideals of Polish independence in every assignment, supporting both frontline units and the veterans' community, while striving to preserve the dignity of the nation abroad.
He spent his later years in London, where he was a steady presence among the Brompton Cemetery community of compatriots and friends. His disciplined leadership remained an example to younger generations of exiles.
