Frank Steunenberg

Biography

Frank Steunenberg (1861-1905) rose from pioneering beginnings to serve as Idaho’s fourth governor, guiding the young state through important reforms and expansion during a time of rapid change.

Though his life was cut short after a tragic assassination, Idahoans still recall his commitment to progress, his calm voice in turbulent debates, and his desire to reconcile opposing points of view.
