Biography

Steve Symms represented Idaho with conviction from the U.S. House of Representatives and later the U.S. Senate, focusing on agriculture, small businesses, and the constitutional freedoms at the heart of his state's rural districts. After leaving public office he returned to Idaho, where he remained deeply involved in civic life, guided young people interested in policy, and cherished quiet mornings among the hills that shaped him; he now rests at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
