Biography
František Vojta was a Czechoslovak legionary who served with distinction during World War I. Born in 1888, he participated in the military struggles that led to Czechoslovak independence, fighting for the creation of a free Czech state.
Vojta's service as a legionary represented the sacrifice of many who fought for Czechoslovak liberation. He died in 1918, just as the fruits of his struggle were being realized, and is commemorated at Olšany Cemetery.
