František Vonásek

Biography

František Vonásek was born in 1901 and lived through the formative decades of modern Czech history. His life began in the twilight of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and extended through the establishment and development of Czechoslovakia.

Vonásek lived until 1968, a year of profound significance in Czechoslovak history. His lifetime of nearly seven decades provided witness to the dramatic transformations that defined the twentieth century in the Czech lands.
