Biography
Jan Hnízdo was born in 1884 and passed away in 1958. He lived through the dramatic transformations of Central Europe, from the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the establishment and development of the modern Czechoslovak state.
Hnízdo's life spanned nearly three-quarters of a century during one of history's most turbulent periods. He was laid to rest in Holešovice cemetery, where his memory is preserved as part of his community's historical record.
