Biography
Franz Freiherr von Philippovich devoted his life to military service, rising to prominence in the ranks of the imperial army and earning trust for his measured leadership during complex times for the realm.
He inspired younger officers with a deep sense of duty and regard for the lives under his command, and upon his passing he found eternal repose in the Vienna Central Cemetery.
