Franz Zimmer

Biography

Franz Zimmer (1765–1842) was a merchant whose commercial endeavors spanned the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He witnessed the transformation of Central European trade during a period of significant economic and political change.

Zimmer's long life and career in commerce reflected the resilience and adaptability required of merchants during the Napoleonic era and its aftermath. He was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery, a testament to his prominence in Prague's merchant community.
