Biography
George F. Gibbs dedicated much of his life to supporting the leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, beginning his service as secretary to the First Presidency and continuing for decades with steadfast devotion. Those who worked with him appreciated his careful attention to detail, his calm demeanor, and his deep loyalty to the Church.
He passed away in 1924, leaving a record of faithful service, and his memory remains among the many faithful whose lives helped guide the Church through times of growth and change, with Salt Lake City Cemetery as his chosen resting place.
