1815–1899 (age 84)
Biography
George Goddard emigrated from England as a young convert to the restored gospel and settled in the Salt Lake Valley, where he became known for his meticulous record keeping, steady stewardship, and willingness to serve in whatever calling required pastoral care or civic detail.
He lived out his days among the pioneers he loved, helping to document the early history of the community and caring for its institutions, and he now rests in the Salt Lake City Cemetery with gratitude for the groundwork he helped lay.
