Biography

George W. Kingsbury chronicled the early stories of Dakota Territory, documenting pioneers and settlements so that the lessons and struggles of the past would not be forgotten.

His work preserved South Dakota's history for generations to come, and he rests at Yankton Municipal Cemetery.
