Biography
Georges Fonsny demonstrated courageous leadership during the dark days of occupation, dedicating himself to the Belgian resistance and the defense of liberty. As a steadfast patriot, he risked his safety to shield communities and to keep alive the ideals of democracy across his region.
After the war he remained a quietly influential presence, supporting remembrance of those struggles and fostering civic responsibility so that future generations would remain vigilant; he rests at Robermont Cemetery among fellow defenders of the nation.
