Georgi Atanasov

Biography

Georgi Atanasov composed melodies that stirred the hearts of Bulgarians, blending folk motifs with refined musical forms. As one of the country’s early composers, he helped introduce Bulgarian themes to audiences both at home and abroad.

Through operatic works and orchestral pieces, he enriched Bulgaria’s musical heritage, and his memory is honored at Central Sofia Cemetery among fellow artists.
