Biography
Nikola Furnadzhiev emerged as one of Bulgaria’s leading poets in the interwar period, cofounding literary circles, translating world poetry, and giving voice to both youthful idealism and mature reflection.
His verses meditated on nature, faith, and the human heart, and he remained a calm mentor to younger writers so that his work continues to be read with admiration and his grave in Central Sofia Cemetery draws students of poetry.
