Biography

Gideon C. Moody (1832–1904) answered his nation’s call as a soldier and lawyer before taking his place among the leaders who guided the Dakotas into statehood.

As a U.S. Senator he approached governance with a steady hand and, even after leaving office, he remained committed to the well-being of his community and fellow veterans.
