Biography

Gil Dobie earned a fearsome reputation on the gridiron, guiding the University of Washington to an extraordinary 58-0-3 record from 1908 through 1916 and later applying the same discipline at Boston College and Cornell.

He demanded excellence with an even hand, teaching young men that teamwork and integrity mattered as much as victory and that the lessons of the field could shape a life.
