Gilbert L. Laws

Biography

Gilbert L. Laws settled in Nebraska in the 1870s and represented the state in both the legislature and later in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he brought his practical knowledge of agriculture and transportation to national debates.

He remained committed to the growth of Nebraska’s communities, encouraging new industries and rural improvements that helped families prosper in the Plains.
