Gustavus Swan

Biography

Gustavus Swan (1787–1860) was a resident of the early nineteenth century who lived through the nation's formative decades. He was a contemporary of the early republic and witnessed the growth of American society and commerce.

Swan was interred at Green Lawn Cemetery. His life of seventy-three years spanned from the early years of the Constitution through the eve of the Civil War.
