Gyula Pethő (1848–1902) was a geologist whose studies of Hungary’s terrain enriched the understanding of its mineral wealth and natural formations.
His meticulous research aided both scholars and practitioners of mining and conservation, and he lies remembered in the Fiume Road Graveyard.
