Biography

Hank Borowy rose from humble beginnings to become a steady left-handed presence on the major league mound, pitching for the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Boston Red Sox while earning respect for his competitive fire and calm under pressure.

After retiring from baseball, he poured the same determination into mentoring young athletes and remaining an active member of his community, always with a ready handshake and story to share; he rests now at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
