Born in colonial Northford in 1747, Hannah Mansfield Douglas grew up among the meadows and stone walls of what would become North Branford, Connecticut, and watched her town forge a new identity as the Revolution dawned.
Through harvests and christenings at the local meeting house, she nurtured a household, encouraged neighbors, and remained a steadfast presence for generations, leaving a legacy of quiet service now honored in Northford Old Cemetery.
