Olive Douglas Fowler

Biography

Olive Douglas Fowler was born in 1768 just as the new United States was taking shape, and she spent her life in Northford surrounded by the care of family and the rhythms of Connecticut farm life.

As the community grew around the meeting house and the small roads that linked families, Olive tended to children and kin, offering a calming presence whose patience is remembered by those buried in Northford Old Cemetery.
