Biography

Harold Frederick Pitcairn was an aviation pioneer whose engineering talent and entrepreneurial spirit propelled early rotorcraft development, founding the Pitcairn Aircraft Company and advancing the autogyro in the United States.

He helped lay the groundwork for modern vertical flight, remained dedicated to innovation and mentorship, and rests at Bryn Athyn Cemetery with gratitude from the aviation community.
