Biography
Harry Brookings Wallace was born in 1877 into a St. Louis family devoted to civic engagement, and he grew up with a keen awareness of the city’s changing needs. He pursued education and business ventures that prepared him to serve the community with both prudence and compassion.
Throughout his life he contributed to charitable causes and supported efforts to strengthen public institutions, honoring the ideals of philanthropy instilled by his elders. His dedication to civic progress endured until his passing in 1955, and he is interred at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
