Harry Reid rose from humble beginnings to become Nevada's voice in the United States Senate, serving as Majority Leader and guiding the chamber through pivotal legislation. He championed health care reform, supported Nevada's tourism and renewable energy sectors, and worked tirelessly to bring federal resources home while remaining unafraid to push for bipartisan compromise.

Even after stepping down from leadership, he remained a mentor to young public servants, stood by the people of Searchlight, and reminded all who knew him that perseverance and respect for others are the foundations of lasting public service.
