Biography
Henrik Bak arrived in America in the mid-nineteenth century, carrying with him the values of his heritage and the resolve to make a thoughtful life in his adopted home. He lived through industrial growth and social change, contributing to the fabric of the Oakland community through his steady presence.
When he passed in 1915, his remains were placed in Oakland Cemetery, where he rests among the trees and pathways he once walked.
