Henry Brown

Biography

Henry Brown, born in 1823, spent his long life amid the stirring development of Springfield and its surrounding counties. Though records are sparse, he was known to those who knew him as a reliable neighbor who helped his town face each new season.

After his passing in 1906 he was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where the steady dignity of his memory endures alongside the markers of other local citizens.
