Biography

Henry Dickinson Lindsley devoted his career to education and civic leadership, championing schools and learning initiatives that sought to uplift communities. He believed deeply in the power of informed citizens and worked to bring opportunities for study and civic responsibility to a growing population.

His thoughtful stewardship of education and public life left a mark on those he taught and served, and he now rests with fellow leaders of the nation at Arlington National Cemetery.
