Henry Fletcher Rigge

Biography

Henry Fletcher Rigge was born in 1809 and lived through much of the nineteenth century, witnessing the dramatic transformations of the Industrial Age. Though limited biographical details survive, he was a member of the community during a period of significant historical change.

Rigge lived to the age of seventy-eight, passing away in 1887. He was laid to rest at Cartmel Priory in Lancashire, an ancient and sacred burial ground that reflected the spiritual significance of his final resting place.
