Born in 1820, Henry Kent McCay witnessed the nation’s evolution and carried himself with a calm assurance that drew others to him. Though not much is known of his profession, he was beloved for his generous nature and his willingness to support neighbors in need.

He was laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery, where his memory endures as one of quiet strength.
