Henry Lee Higginson

Biography

Henry Lee Higginson (1834-1919) combined business acumen with a passion for the arts, founding the Boston Symphony Orchestra and insisting that great music be shared widely.

He also supported parks, hospitals, and educational initiatives, earning a lasting place of honor among those interred at Mount Auburn.
