Biography
Henry St. George Tucker, born in 1874, served as a guiding voice at the Virginia Theological Seminary and within the Episcopal Church, teaching generations of clergy and helping the seminary navigate the changes of the early 20th century. His gentle scholarship and pastoral care helped shape a more thoughtful and compassionate ministry across the diocese.
Through preaching, writing, and mentoring he forged a legacy of excellence in theological education, and when he passed in 1959 he was laid to rest in the Seminary Cemetery, remembered as a leader who nurtured both mind and spirit.
