Herbert J. Krapp, born in 1886, translated a love of theater into a distinguished architectural practice, designing and supervising the construction of many of Broadway's most beloved theaters and helping to shape the experience of live performance for generations.

He took pride in marrying practical craftsmanship with elegant sightlines, leaving a tangible legacy in the city and cherished memories for the artists and audiences whose work and enjoyment graced his buildings, a legacy honored at Salem Fields Cemetery.
